Reba McEntire feat’ Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson appeared to have laid a scorching-stone-down-through “‘Trailblazer” at the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards. Possibly, a more psalm of the occasion was sung by Reba on Instagram, after which the responses started pouring in from fans and fellow artists. There is another link to the whole performance on-demand on Prime, and judging from the comments, this really was something.

Have you felt the electricity in the room? The Internet is still buzzing about the performance. SystemUserAlaurenk1399 said the moment brilliantly: “So good. So so good. Chills throughout this song and tears. Love this!” And honestly? Same. The passages, something about the lyrics, star-power, somehow-a show that lingers. SystemUserKarenjaeckels reflected another comment here that sums up the vibe: “Now that’s how it’s done! Yee Haw!!” No dissenting opinions here.
The glitz wasn’t the only thing worthy of being talked about. The siblinghood among these women was a hot topic. SystemUserJunkGypsy said, “Women supporting women and showing the next generation how it’s done!” And frankly, in an industry sometimes known to pit women against each other, seeing Reba, Miranda, and Lainey share that stage felt like one big glittery middle finger to that nonsense.
Then, @jujumariedee tells a beautiful story of a time in their own life, how Reba’s songs (and maybe even her sitcom) got ‘them’ through a dark time: ‘”Reba does not know me, but Reba saved my life.”‘ That’s the thing about Reba; she is not just an icon but also for many-a-way-life-rescue, and last night, she showed she’s still untouchable.
Some, though, were displeased with the logistics. @Amarisa1211 voices the opinion of many: “I wished this show had been aired on a regular station instead of a streaming service.” The replies were a mixed bag of agreement and alternatives, some saying that technically it was free on Prime (even though not everyone has access to it). Valid complaint, but hey, at least the clip is going viral.
The wardrobe passed with flying colors. The World @forever_s_young proclaimed them ‘Queens,’ adding: ‘For the performance and the matching outfits.’ Because, let’s face it, Reba’s jacket alone demanded a trophy. And @tahasson wasn’t wrong with: ‘Those girls are lucky to have you to pave the way!!!’ Reba has been paving the pathways way before a few of us came around, and last night was definitely a reminder of her presence.
The show threw in a little more shade as @ed_majch19 dubbed them ‘3 country queens’ while another interjected that Lainey has ‘a way to go’ before getting there. Oof. Ton of dirt? Maybe. But hey, that is just everybody’s opinion, and at least the conversation has started.

What else can you say? That was a moment. If you’re a country fan at heart or just someone who appreciates a great performance, this was it, Reba, Miranda, and Lainey. Missed it? Prime Video has it. Just saying.
