The Valley cast reportedly received a major salary increase ahead of their second season.
According to a new report, the likes of Jax Taylor, 45, Brittany Cartwright, 36, and Kristen Doute, 42, were treated to a “significant pay bump” after the second season of their Bravo reality series was given more episodes than the first — and Vanderpump Rules alums were paid the most.
“Jax got paid the most for season 1 – around $30k per episode. Brittany and Kristen were just behind him, closer to 20/25k per episode. And the newer full-time cast got $5-10k per episode depending on how much they filmed,” an insider revealed to The U.S. Sun on April 14. “For season 2, every cast member’s pay was significantly increased.”
The Valley season 1 had a total of 12 episodes, which means Jax earned $360,000 for the season while Brittany and Kristen earned around $240,000 to $300,000.
The season two cast also includes Luke Broderick, Danny Booko, Nia Booko, Jason Caperna, Janet Caperna, Jasmine Goode, Jesse Lally, Michelle Lally, and Zack Wickham. And when the episodes conclude, they will be featured in their first-ever reunion.
“In addition to the big bump, they will also make more as they will film more episodes. This includes a proper reunion, which they did not get for season 1,” the source continued. “Bravo was testing out the waters with its first season – which is why they didn’t even approve a season 1 reunion. After the show became such a smash hit, they’ve upped the budget for season 2 and every cast member has gotten a significant pay bump.”
In addition to the fallout of Jax and Brittany’s split, his addiction struggles are expected to take center stage as the messy divorce between Jesse and Michelle is also highlighted.
“I think the world is going to see a very … they’re gonna see some really bad stuff,” Jax admitted to Extra TV of what fans would see on the upcoming episodes. “The first two episodes, I don’t even know who that person is. It’s a shell of a human being. I’m disgusted. It’s utter embarrassment.”
Elsewhere, both Kristen and Nia are expecting. Kristen is expecting her first child with fiancé Luke, and Nia is expecting her fourth child with husband Danny.
Pump Rules alums Scheana Shay, 39, Tom Schwartz, 42, and Lala Kent, 34, will also be featured.
“It’s the same drama that we had on Vanderpump Rules, except now we’re all parents, some in the 40s. So it’s a lot of fun,” Scheana shared with Access Hollywood. “It’s chaotic, but it’s entertaining, and at the end of the day, most of us all love each other in the friend group.”
The Valley season two premieres tonight, April 15, at 9/8c on Bravo.
