
Wrestling legend Sabu has sadly passed away.
The wrestler tragically died just three weeks after fighting in his retirement rumble, via All Elite Wrestling.
“AEW and the wrestling world mourns the passing of Sabu. From barbed wire battles to unforgettable high-risk moments, Sabu gave everything to professional wrestling. Our thoughts are with his family, his friends and his fans,” the organization announced.
A cause of death has not yet been made public.

The wrestler, born Terry Brunk, began his career in the 1980s while training with his uncle, Edward “The Sheik” Farhat. In 1991, he gained fame in Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling for the scars on his arms and torso that brought him notoriety, per TMZ.
He appeared in Extreme Championship Wrestling, World Championship Wrestling and briefly in the WWE from 2006 to 2007. He last wrestled on April 18 of this year. He defeated Joey Janela. He appeared at the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance reunion show convention at the 2300 (ECW) Arena, which appears to have been his final public appearance, via PW Insider.
Sabu was previously in a relationship with fellow wrestler, Melissa Coates, who passed away from complications due to COVID in 2021 at the age of 52.
