Matt Bomer is one of the celebs who has gotten in on the new Ice Bucket Challenge.
For those who don’t know, the Ice Bucket Challenge became a phenomenon back in 2014 as an effort to raise money and awareness for ALS, a disease that still does not have a cure unfortunately.
A student club at University of South Carolina relaunched the Ice Bucket Challenge as the USC Speak Your Mind challenge to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.
Matt‘s son Kit Halls nominated him to participate and he made a video that was shared to his Instagram Stories.
Head inside to watch the clip…
“Alright Kit Halls, I accept your Speak Your Mind challenge to benefit Active Minds, a non-profit organization that encourages young people to normalize conversations around mental health. I’m not going to nominate anyone in particular. Frankly, I’m still scarred from the Ice Bucket Challenge, but anyone who wants to stand up for mental health, please feel free to join me and tag me,” Matt said in the video.
