How did the Los Angeles Sparks do last WNBA season?
The Los Angeles Sparks endured a difficult 2024 WNBA season, finishing with a franchise-worst 8–32 record and missing the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. Led by standout veteran Dearica Hamby, who averaged 17.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, and rookie Rickea Jackson, who earned WNBA All-Rookie Team honors, the Sparks faced major setbacks including the season-ending ACL injury to No. 2 draft pick Cameron Brink. Offensive struggles and the departure of longtime star Nneka Ogwumike further contributed to their challenges.
Despite a few bright moments—such as an upset win over the Las Vegas Aces and a strong season finale against the Minnesota Lynx—the Sparks ultimately decided to part ways with head coach Curt Miller. Looking ahead to the 2025 season, the team brought in new head coach Lynne Roberts and added promising rookies like Sarah Ashlee Barker, aiming to rebuild the roster and re-establish the Sparks as a playoff contender.
