When my aunt and uncle picked me up from university, after my first, what they would call, episode, I didn’t know.
Sitting in the backseat of that car, looking out the glass window, not remembering if I talked or not. But, I didn’t know.
I couldn’t see the future in that moment of time.
I didn’t know that my life was actually over.
I didn’t know that, that one moment would change me forever.
I didn’t know the amount of pain I would endure going forward.
It’s a feeling I can’t explain to you.
It’s a feeling that makes me sad every time I look back at that girl in that car.
Just sitting there, looking at the scenery on our 3 hour drive, and I didn’t know.
That every single thing would be different.
I decided to explain my story in a series of YouTube videos, so you can see and learn a little bit more of my story through video and in speaking.
Here is the link to Episode 1 called “I didn’t know.”
At the end of the video, I cry for that girl, but I am also so proud of her today. She isn’t perfect. She knows that. But she is pretty amazing, if you get to know her.
