The ‘My Medicines List’ provides a secure place to medicines currently being used
The HSE has rolled out a feature on its new app which allows users to keep a record of the medicines they are taking.
The ‘My Medicines List’ provides a secure place to medicines currently being used which can be useful for pharmacy or hospital visits.
All prescribed and over-the-counter medical products can be recorded, as well as vitamins and supplements, inhalers, nicotine patches, injections, creams and any other relevant items. There is also space to note the dosage, the amount of medication and the time taken, as well as any allergies the user may have.
This feature is available in both English and Irish on the HSE Health App. Users can download and print a paper version which is available in 53 languages from the HSE website.
The app also allows users to store their European Health Insurance Card, medical card, Long-term Illness card, Drugs Payment Scheme card and/or GP Visit card.
It provides access to flu and COVID-19 vaccination records and allows the user to easily find information about HSE services, such as EDs and injury units.
Currently, maternity patients can see their hospital appointments, while it is hoped to roll out this feature to the wider public in the coming months.
