The Diddy trial is underway, and it’s been rough so far. We’re just on Day 3, and already Cassie Ventura — clearly the prosecution’s star witness — has given us shocking details of depravity we’ve never heard before.
As she’s lobbed detailed accusations against her ex of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and “freak offs” in which she was coerced into having sex with multiple male escorts and even being peed on… her husband has been there to listen to all of it.
Yes, Alex Fine has been in the room to support his baby momma. And of course that means he’s in the same room as the man she’s talking about — the defendant, Sean Combs!

Putting them all in the same room — the whole thing feels like a Jerry Springer powder keg to us. But that’s how it works in courtrooms every single day, right? You’re constitutionally required to be allowed to face your accuser. And that’s what Diddy is doing.

But how is it working? What’s the actual dynamic at play as these three have to share the same space for the first time in years??
According to New York Times reporters on the scene, Cassie “never seems to look at” Diddy while discussing the horrors he allegedly committed against her. That makes sense. Just speak to the lawyer asking questions and the jury, right?
However, her husband can’t help it. He “occasionally turns to look at Combs across the aisle before turning back.” The outlet describes the atmosphere as “uneasy” — something the jury has sat through somberly. Jurors “have maintained their best poker faces,” per the Times, even while looking at photos and videos of alleged abuse and “freak offs.”

The abuse stuff got to Diddy though. The Times reports he has mostly kept “his hands clasped on his lap,” only “occasionally writing notes” to the lawyers seated next to him. However, they say, he “briefly rubbed his eyes and shook his head once” — that was when the court was shown photos of Cassie’s bruises.
Is there remorse there? Or is he upset about how bad it is for his case? What do you think, Perezcious readers? How would YOU react if your partner was on the stand describing horrors… and the man who committed them was just a few feet away?
