Cynthia Bailey Says Kenya Moore EMBARRASSED Herself on RHOA By Showing X-Rated Pics of Brittany Eady at Her Salon Grand Opening!
Cynthia Bailey is opening up about her feelings toward Kenya Moore’s dramatic departure from The Real Housewives of Atlanta — and she’s not holding back.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the 58-year-old former Housewife expressed both support and disappointment for her longtime friend as fans brace for more revelations surrounding Kenya’s unexpected exit from Season 16.
“I know Kenya,” Cynthia Bailey shared. “I just held her to a standard that I hold for my friends and I just felt like it was not good for Kenya. I just felt like she was bigger. I felt the way she responded was beneath her.”
The drama between Kenya, 54, and newcomer Brittany Eady began brewing in earlier episodes, but a preview for the April 6 episode teases that viewers will finally learn more about what went down. Last summer, Kenya abruptly exited the series following an alleged incident involving an explicit photo.
At the time, she posted to Instagram, “My heart is full and my conscience is clean,” adding, “So many false claims hiding behind anonymous sources.”
Months later, in a cryptic follow-up, Kenya told, “The truth always comes to light, and I’m always right.”
From Cynthia’s perspective, however, the real shame was what the controversy overshadowed: Kenya’s long-awaited launch event for her Kenya Moore Haircare Spa. “I know how hard she’s been working on that and this is a lifelong dream of hers,” Cynthia said.
“It’s just really unfortunate that it was overshadowed by the events that took place.” Cynthia revealed that she hasn’t spoken to Kenya since the situation unfolded, but she’s ready when Kenya is.
“At the end of the day, I have a real friendship with Kenya, and she knows that when she’s ready to talk, I am here,” Cynthia said. “I will be happy to pick up where we left off.”
The RHOA alum also reflected on how Kenya’s absence has impacted the season, which was designed with a new mix of personalities including Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora, Kelli Ferrell, Shamea Morton, and Angela Oakley.
“I know that losing Kenya didn’t help us at all,” Cynthia admitted.
“We were literally the dream team. Bravo spent a lot of time curating their vision for Season 16 with exactly the cast that started this whole journey together, and it’s just really unfortunate that the fans don’t get to see it play out with that official cast.”
While Kenya may be out, RHOA is bringing in another familiar face: Married to Medicine alum Phaedra Parks. Cynthia, who is also set to appear on Hulu’s new competition series Got to Get Out, says the season is still worth watching.
“If there’s one word that describes the season, it’s unpredictable because we never thought we would lose Kenya,” she said. “We never saw Phaedra coming. So at the end of the day, we’re going to get past everything that happened and you guys are in for a treat.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with past episodes available on Peacock. Got to Get Out premieres Friday, April 11 on Hulu.
