Packed with protein and fibre, these Puffed Quinoa Bars make a really delicious and filling snacks for kids

If you’re looking for an easy no-bake snack to make for the kids then try these Quinoa Bars.
They contain just four simple ingredients and are super simple to make. And they can be kept in the fridge for up to 5 days so you have something to grab quickly for an afternoon snack.

How To Make Choc Peanut Butter Quinoa Bars
The full recipe with all the instructions and measurements are in the recipe card towards the bottom of this post but I’ve also included some step-by-step photos here if that’s helpful.

- Add peanut butter and butter to a pan on the hob and melt.

- Add chocolate and mix continuously until it has melted through. Be careful not to burn it!

- Remove from the heat and stir in puffed quinoa.

- Transfer to a lined loaf tin and refrigerate for 90 minutes.
Once the mixture has cooled and hardened you can cut it 8 large slices or 16 smaller bars.
Absolutely delicious and a really nutritious snack to serve up to the kids after school.

Where Can I Buy Puffed Quinoa
This is the Puffed Quinoa which I use in my recipe. It comes in a massive bag but is the best value Puffed Quinoa that I’ve found. You could always go halves with a friend!
You should be able to find Puffed Quinoa in health food shops too.

- 100g peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
- 40g unsalted butter
- 100g milk chocolate
- 40g puffed quinoa
Instructions
- Add peanut butter and butter to a pan on the hob and melt.
- Add chocolate and mix continuously until it has melted through. Be careful not to burn it!
- Remove from the heat and stir in puffed quinoa.
- Transfer to a lined loaf tin and refrigerate for 90 minutes.
- Once the mixture has cooled and hardened, cut into 8 large or 16 smaller bars.
Notes
These Quinoa Bars will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days.
