What Is The Story of ‘Attack on Titan’?
Attack on Titan follows a young boy named Eren Yeager, who lives in a city surrounded by walls on Paradis Island as man-eating titans roam the outside. After years of peace, the walls were breached by two new titans – the Armored Titan and the Colossal Titan. Eren watched as a titan ate his mother while he and his friends were safely rescued and sought refuge in the inner walls. From there, it became his mission to join the scouts to kill every titan.
As the story continues, details about the Titan’s origins slowly unravel as Eren and others can transform into Titans. Additionally, secrets about the outside world slowly get revealed, as they’re not the last remaining humans, but residents of an island located next to the mainland. Furthermore, the history of Paradis Island, its relationship with the outside world, and the origins of the Titan powers are explained. We also learn about an apocalyptic event called “The Rumbling,” which Eren triggers, and it’s up to his friends to stop him from wiping away all of humanity.
Attack on Titan is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
