The CrossFit Games Demo Team assembles in Albany.

On Thursday morning, CrossFit announced the demo team for the 2025 CrossFit Games, which start on Friday, August 1, in Albany, NY.
Remind me: Each year, Dave Castro assembles a demo team composed of elite CrossFit athletes – some with Games experience, others without – to test workouts and showcase each event during the Games.
Meet This Year’s CrossFit Games Demo Team
- Rafael Sancen (team captain): The three-time Semifinals athlete from Mexico has been competing in CrossFit since 2017.
- Royce Dunne: The well-known Australian athlete and head coach at CrossFit Torian in Bowen Hills has competed at the Games six times, twice as an individual and four times on a team. Last year, his team finished in second place.
- Nate Ackermann: The two-time Semifinals athlete missed qualifying for this year’s Games by one spot at the Northern California Classic In-Person Qualifying Event. He was also a 2021 CrossFit Games teen champion.
- Christine Kolenbrander: Kolenbrander has competed in the CrossFit Games four times, twice as an individual and twice as part of a team. She is also the owner of CrossFit 417 in Ozark, MI.
- Caroline Stanley: The former college softball player is another two-time individual Games athlete who finished 17th in the world last year.
- Kyra Milligan: A Games rookie last year, Milligan narrowly missed qualifying for the Games again this season when she finished second at the Last Chance Qualifier.
