As if Stephen A. Smith would ever get off his soapbox about this—it continues into the whole deal that happened some time ago when LeBron James really got into his face during an interview. Now, Smith has made it worse by asserting that he wasn’t scared, making it even more insulting. In an earlier interview with Complex, he said that ‘Wherever I go, ESPN knows. Police, FBI, whoever: I’m always guarded because I’m an investment.’

Naturally, the internet didn’t buy that one right away. It was all over social networks as jokes, memes, and pure disbelief over Smith’s ever-late attempts to rewrite history. One such person is @MOCskoden, who mocked him by saying, ‘Bet you the local police and FBI are gonna defend LeBron before Stephen A 💀.’ They aren’t wrong though, honestly.
Next, @xplatoreborn, added more material to said argument when he commented: ‘This interview just convinced me he was scared sh1t.’ Like, dude, if you weren’t scared, why mention the FBI? That’s not the kind of crap you say unless you’re trying to convince yourself otherwise.
@DayDayBurner1 added a hilarious GIF of LeBron looking like he’s ready to throw down with the caption, ‘Lebron when he catch a Smith and his bOdyGuard 😂😂.’ And then the replies just kept coming, with @dickgermom calling Smith a ‘musty ol mf’ for bringing this up.
A few were debating maturity and job status, but honestly, who cares? The real scandal here is that Stephen A is still obsessed with this, while LeBron probably hasn’t thought about it since it happened.
@MiamiheatESPN made a joke of his own: ‘If Stephan A got that many people protecting him, what does he think LeBron has protecting him? Lol.’ Damn! LeBron is a billionaire and has his own team of security. Stephen A is just a TV celebrity who shouts for a living.
Sad. Smith keeps telling everyone he wasn’t scared; in fact, the more he says it, the more he convinces the rest of the world that he really was. The internet? Jokes.

So yeah, Stephen A, just take the L and move on. Because what could be more embarrassing than being scared of LeBron? Oh right, still talking about it months later.
