One posted: ‘Honestly, I’m a big fan of the game series. I came running to binge-watch the series over the weekend. The animation, soundtrack, and fights, as well as the villains, are magnificent.
‘However, something that left me wanting more was a change in the story’s lore.’;
‘The story of the Devil May Cry Netflix anime is fantastic! Even though it doesn’t stick entirely to the original game’s plot, it brings a fresh take that makes it easy for those who haven’t played the game yet to enjoy and get hooked on the story.’;
‘I had a lot of fun watching the new anime adaptation. I thought that it was very well done. The animation was amazing and the soundtrack was really good.’;
‘Knew about the game, but never played them. So for a person ‘new’ for this universe was a good series. Good action, good fight, good plot and good animation.’;
‘Definitely recommend this show. Superb show. Well done action scenes. The anime high quality & music awesome.’;
‘Absolute must see! Well done. The show was awesome! Great Entertainment.’;
‘The only qualm I have with the show is that the animation style looks too clean for what a DMC show would look like in my head. Can’t wait for season 2.’
But not everyone has been impressed with the series and one commented: ‘As a long time fan this show is insulting. I don’t know how anemone thougth this was a good idea. If there is a next season (I hope not) I hope they fix the mess.’;
‘Just horrible. Characters are annoying. Flight scenes and story are mindless. Written for 7 years olds.’

Creator Adi said: ‘Our goal wasn’t just to pump out another animated show. My goal is to make one of the best shows on the Netflix platform — period.’
