As previously announced, the second season will take place 10 months after season one during the Fourth of July weekend. The show’s star, Noah Wyle, who plays Robby, shared that after his character’s break down, he will be picking up season two from a place where his character is “no longer is able to pretend to himself that he doesn’t need help.”
The change won’t be sudden, though. Noah admitted to Variety, “In a perfect world, this show goes several seasons, so we don’t have to rush this process. It’s a really interesting road that he’s about to embark on,” he said.
Will The Pitt run for 15 years like Noah‘s other medical show, ER, did!?
“I don’t know whether we can go 15. What would that make me? 68? ‘Dr. Robby, you have to retire!’” he joked.
In addition, we learned that season two will begin filming in June and will debut in January of 2026.
