The Indiana Fever are poised for a breakout 2025 WNBA season, building on their 20–20 record and first playoff appearance since 2016. Led by second-year star Caitlin Clark—who averaged 19.2 points and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game in her rookie season—the Fever have revamped their roster and coaching staff to contend for a championship.

Head coach Stephanie White returns to the franchise, bringing experience and a focus on team cohesion. The offseason additions of veterans DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard and Sydney Colson add championship pedigree and depth to a young core that includes Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

How did the Indiana Fever do last season?

The Indiana Fever saw a significant turnaround in 2024, finishing with a 20–20 record and securing the sixth seed in the playoffs—their first postseason appearance since 2016. This resurgence was largely attributed to rookie sensation Clark, who led the league in assists (8.4 per game) and averaged 19.2 points and 5.7 rebounds. Clark’s performance not only revitalized the team’s on-court dynamics but also boosted fan engagement, with the Fever drawing an average of over 17,000 fans to home games, surpassing the attendance of their NBA counterpart, the Pacers, on a per-game basis.

Despite their regular-season success, the Fever’s playoff run was short-lived, as they were swept 2–0 by the Connecticut Sun in the first round. Following the season, the organization made a coaching change, parting ways with Christie Sides and bringing back Stephanie White for her second tour of duty with the franchise.
