Goundamani Mourns The Loss Of His Wife, Shanti

Goundamani the legendary “Comedy King” of Tamil industry is mourning the loss of his wife Shanti who passed away today due to health complications.

Known for his unforgettable comic timing and iconic pairing with Senthil in Tamil films, Goundamani won the hearts of audiences for decades.

He led a private life marrying Shanti in 1963 and the couple had two daughters, Selvi and Sumithra. Their love marriage lasted more than six decades.

Shanti had been unwell for some time and despite medical efforts her condition worsened leading to her passing around 10:30 AM.

Fans and film industry colleagues have shared their condolences on social media offering their support to the grieving actor. This marks a deeply personal loss for Goundamani who has always maintained a low-key lifestyle.
