At Battle Camp, the game is to not catch elimination votes, but for some campers, they caught feelings! The smash-hit new Netflix pit some of the Netflix Reality Universe’s biggest names from the greatest franchises together in a battle for bragging rights and total domination. The competition series introduced an exceptional new mechanic that literally let fate decide the campers’ outcomes. But not every camper had their head in the game, especially with eye candy walking around!
When I spoke to Louis Russell and Gabi Butler about their time on Battle Camp, they both acknowledged their part in their respective showmances. Though Gabi’s connection to The Mole‘s resident bad boy Tony Castellanos was short-lived, it was more of a flirt-mance in comparison. But, as Louis put it, “To be honest, Michael, when it comes to romance, it can blossom in any where there is light. So yes, there was a lot of light in camp, we’ll say.” Louis’ battle with love happened when Bri Balram entered the game. But now that Battle Camp is over, we’re dying to know if their love was Too Hot to Handle after camp.
How Louis and Bri Began Their Romance
One might not think that love would be found in such a cutthroat game, but like on any reality show, you can’t deny love when it creeps in! When the game began, Louis was one of the original 12 campers. Alongside Trey Plutnicki of Squid Game: The Challenge, Gabi Butler of Cheer, and Irina Solomonova of Love Is Blind, the quartet comprised the Wolves. But a mechanic of this game is that when one player is eliminated, a new NRU star enters. So, when Bri joined as one of the team’s replacements, it became a Too Hot to Handle reunion.
As it just so happens, Bri and Louis were both alums of Too Hot to Handle Season 6. Though Bri had a bit more success, winning the season, Louis was eliminated before the end of the game. They entered Battle Camp having a familiarity and fondness for one another, so it seemed inevitable that this might be a chance to reignite a romance that went untested in Turks and Caicos. They had instant chemistry, and the focus of the game shifted. Removed from some of the drama brewing around camp, the duo enjoyed their time together, even cheekily sharing a bed. The pair flirted openly, with little regard for how it could affect their standing. But in the end, they left the game in a double elimination together. What are the chances!

Are Bri and Louis Together After ‘Battle Camp?’
Of course, leaving the game on the same night, many fans speculated whether that allowed their showmance to turn into a true romance. Especially when Bri’s parting words were, “Winning the money would have obviously been wonderful, but I’m actually really stoked that I get to leave with Louis. We will take our story elsewhere.” But, as it turns out, they did not take their story elsewhere. “Me and Bri are on good terms. We’re not dating or anything like that. But when we see each other, it’s good vibes. It always will be. Me and her are sweet,” Louis has revealed to Tudum. It was only a camp crush! They have spent time together post show as seen on social media, but it appears it’s just a budding friendship. And we love that for them.
The Netflix Reality Universe has become quite large, as proven in Battle Camp. Uniting some of the best of the best for a competitive test for reality glory, it’s become an instant classic that is destined to spawn multiple seasons. With such a large roster of talent to pull from, it may be unlikely that this duo will show up at camp together again. But there is still the possibility that maybe their romance could be tried again, this time on Perfect Match. They may say they’re friends right now, but put a camera on them in paradise, and anything can happen!
