BJP leader Annamalai recently shared an emotional and inspiring story at a public event. He revealed that he was a college mate of popular Tamil director Desingu Periyasamy known for Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal.
Annamalai said they were close friends during their college days, he studied engineering while Desingu Periyasamy pursued computer technology. Both were part of the same drama group and shared a deep interest in arts and cinema.
In a light-hearted moment, Annamalai joked that while others flipped through exam papers for answers, Desingu wouldn’t bother, often scoring the lowest marks.
“His focus was always on cinema,” Annamalai said, adding that it’s this passion that made Desingu a successful filmmaker.
He also shared an inspiring message, “Success takes time usually 20 to 25 years of effort and failure. If you fail before 30, consider it a blessing. Failure is life’s best teacher”.
