RHOA’s Kelli Ferrell Wins Big in Divorce as She Walks Away with Car, Jewelry, and MORE!
Kelli Ferrell isn’t just serving drama on screen — she’s walking away from her divorce with full custody, a luxury SUV, and thousands in monthly child support.
Kelli, who joined Real Housewives of Atlanta in season 16, has already made a strong impression with her honesty about her ongoing divorce struggles and her need for security due to alleged threats. According to court documents obtained by InTouch Weekly, the couple’s marriage officially ended on September 23, 2023, after a lengthy legal battle that included multiple court dates throughout August.
Kelli originally filed for divorce in 2022, citing that there was “no hope for reconciliation.”
The couple, who married in August 2011 and share three daughters, reached an agreement for joint legal custody. However, Kelli was granted primary physical custody along with sole decision-making power when it comes to education and non-emergency healthcare. Chuvalo was awarded visitation rights.
As for financial support, the court ordered Chuvalo to pay $3,991 per month in child support, as well as cover the cost of health insurance for their children. In terms of property division, the former couple sold their marital home and split the proceeds — Kelli walked away with $175,000, while Chuvalo received $90,000.
The documents also reveal that the two shared ownership of a business, Nana’s Chicken N Waffles, and accrued substantial debt tied to the restaurant. “As it relates to the marital debts, the parties guaranteed multiple business loans from various third parties and creditors,” the judgment states.
Their financial issues extended to unpaid taxes as well. The filing notes, “During their separation, the parties defaulted on accrued federal sales taxes and Georgia state tax liabilities stemming from business operations from 2017 to 2022.”
Perhaps the most startling claim was that Chuvalo allegedly “disposed of approximately $790,000 of marital assets” during the separation period. However, the judge also acknowledged that “several of the items were gifts the parties gave one another during their marriage,” according to Kelli’s testimony.
In addition to the cash settlement, Kelli was awarded all household furniture — valued at $45,000 — and was granted ownership of a 2021 navy blue Cadillac Escalade, a Rolex Oyster watch, a diamond necklace, and her wedding ring set.
The documents also detail a dramatic moment in the legal process: Chuvalo was jailed on August 7, 2023, after failing to pay a court-ordered amount of $14,889. He spent a week in Rockdale County jail before being released on August 14.
As her story continues to unfold on Bravo, Kelli’s transparency and resilience in the face of personal upheaval are already resonating with RHOA viewers. And with a new chapter ahead, fans are eager to see how she moves forward — both on-screen and off.
